BRENDAN Cole has accused Strictly of “ripping off” his ideas after watching Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke’s latest routine
The professional dancer, 43, was axed from the BBC One show last year after 13 years on the show, but it seems it has still left a bitter taste on his mouth.
On Saturday night EastEnders star Emma, 42, and her pro partner Anton, 53, waltzed to Send in the Clowns, earning themselves a 35 points on the leaderboard.
But Brendan Cole wasn’t as impressed.
Taking to Instagram Stories shortly after the show, he shared a video of a routine set the same song they danced to from his show, Show Man, and wrote: “I’m thinking my ideas are being lifted? Strictly.”
He then urged fans to go to his website to watch his version of the routine.
To be fair, Brendan wasn’t having the best night on Saturday.
That same evening his audition on X Factor: Celebrity was shown on ITV and it didn’t go down too well with Simon Cowell.
Joining forces with actor Jeremy Edwards – and going by the name of Edwards and Cole – they sang Kylie’s Love At First Sight.
But the judges and their guests were less than impressed.
More on Brendan Cole
Howie Mandell said they were like a miscast musical, Louis Walsh said they didn’t have to be great singers, and Simon Cowell told Jeremy he didn’t know him so well.
This did not go down well and saw Jeremy storm off stage ina fit of rage.
He demanded the others stop applauding his efforts, raging: “Don’t. I’m serious don’t. That was horrible. I don’t want fake bulls***.”
